Mississippi Gulf Coast will head into the NJCAA Region 23 Women's Basketball Tournament as the seventh seed after dropping its regular-season finale 53-43 at Copiah-Lincoln.

The Bulldogs head into the postseason with a 13-13 record overall, 7-7 in the MACCC. They tied with Southwest and Meridian for sixth in the final conference standings, losing the tiebreaker to the Bears and finishing ahead of the Eagles.

Gulf Coast will host Holmes in the first round on Thursday. Tipoff time at Dantzler Arena will be determined Tuesday. The Bulldogs beat Holmes 67-51 at Goodman on Jan. 16.
