Fields wins 2nd MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast guard Simaru Fields grabbed her second MACCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week of the season Tuesday after two more stellar games.
The sophomore guard from Pass Christian averaged 17.5 points. 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists during a 1-1 week for the Bulldogs.
She poured in 23 points with eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in an 89-47 win over Arkansas State Mid-South. In a 64-61 loss at No. 19 Chipola, Fields had 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals.
